Proteus Emoticons

Proteus was the greatest instant messaging (IM) client that ever did exist (next to iChat, that is) -- and it's only available for Mac OS X. It supports multiple IM services such as ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, AOL, and Jabber.

"Emoticons" are combinations of symbols which represent an emotion. You are probably very familiar with the classic ":)" which is a smile (turn your head 90 degrees counter-clockwise). Proteus has the ability to detect when someone enters such a symbol, and will replace it with a graphical version. Recently, Proteus introduced "Emoticon Sets" which are sets of little icons that you can mix into your instant messages.

I have decided to contribute to Proteus by making my own Emoticon Set:

Figure 1 above shows all the faces which you can use in your messages with Proteus. If have have Proteus, and would like to download this set, you can do so here. Hopefully soon enough, this set will be included by default.
