PolyVinyl, headphones, etc.
Today I was groovin' to the beats of Groove Salad over at Real Illusion by PolyVinyl. Larry, if you're reading this, I think you would like it (though, knowing you, you've already heard it before)...Which leads me to my headphones. At work, I listen to music using my Sony MDR-V900 studio headphones. I've had them for about four years now, and I'm quite fond of them. In addition to having pretty good sound, they are also very comfortable. I recently picked up a different pair for home: the Grado Labs SR80 open-air headphones. The sound in them is extremely crisp, and the bass is nothing to complain about either. The only thing I don't like about them is that because they don't fully enclose my ears, I find that they become uncomfortable after an hour or so of wearing them.
And if you enjoy good sound and you're an iTunes user, I highly recommend getting yourself a copy of OCTiV's Volume Logic plug-in for iTunes. It provides real-time digital remastering for all the songs to which you love to listen, and I challenge you to try it out and tell me that it doesn't sound better than without. Sure, it uses a little more of your CPU, but in my opinion, it's a better than it just sitting there idle.
