Thank you, Order of Operations
A while back, I posted an entry about the Order of Operations in which I discussed the skill-testing question of a contest running at the local Starbucks. Well, wouldn't you know it -- I won! Yes, I am now the proud owner of two tickets to Grouse Mountain (a $53.90 value!), and lunch for two at the Starbucks on the top of the mountain! From the enclosed letter: The lunch portion of the price includes 2 sandwiches of your choice, 2 bottled beverages of your choice and 2 bags of chips. (I guess I don't get to pick which chips I want.) As far a prizes go, I guess I shouldn't complain, but if I'm going to take the time to go up to Grouse Mountain, I would at least rather have lunch at a restaurant instead of Starbucks. And one thing that kind of surprises me is that I don't even get any free coffee! To make matters worse, I fear that I've wasted one of the limited number of "wins" allotted to me by the contest gods on a crappy prize. I should stick to the 6/49!
