On the Mac front
Have you ever wanted to bring back the good ol' Unix days of multiple desktops on a single display? Well, wait no more. Desktop Manager finally does a pretty decent job of bringing this much-missed feature to Mac OS X. My only complaint is that you can't get to the other desktops by dragging windows to the edge of the screen. But, beggars can't be choosers, as the expression goes -- especially when what you are getting is free. Oh, and for those of you who want a G5, maybe these people can spare one?

Desktop Manager is almost what I want. My only complaint is that clicking on dock items doesn't bring up the virtual desktop where the application resides. Other than that it is a must have. - Mike, Tuesday, September 23, 2003 Glad you find it useful. Working on the issue you describe... - Rich Wareham, Thursday, January 22, 2004 |
