| Curb Your Frustration | Friday, February 28, 2003 |
After only five minutes of Curb Your Enthusiasm, this character basis is quite evident. Larry David is a selfish, cheap, bald man who like George, is a horrible liar. Each episode follows Larry around where ever he goes, whether it be lunch with his friend Richard Lewis, or a meeting with Diane Keaton. Larry's personality gets him into trouble all over town, and the situations in which he constantly finds himself are difficult (at best) to watch.
Now don't get me wrong -- Curb Your Enthusiam is a great show. And really quite funny. But just watching the way this guy deals with various situations (much like George Costanza) gets me all riled up. In fairness to Larry, some -- and by "some" I mean one or two -- of these situations aren't his fault. But nevertheless, it is still a difficult show to watch. I find that I can really only handle one episode at a time.
For those of you in Canada with Showcase, you can judge for yourself every Wednesday night at 11:00 and 11:40 (or 23:00 and 23:40 for you 24-hour folk like me). Give it a watch and let me know what you think...
