I was thinking... if people hadn't decided to designate the death of J.C. "year zero", but instead used the actual start of the Earth, we'd have a lot more numbers to remember to update each time New Year's came around. Tomorrow would be "January 1, 4,511,485,210." And actually, if we went back to the estimated start of Universe, it'd be "January 1, 15,394,885,926."
