Poor Management Up North

With all of the Christmas music I've heard over the last couple weeks, one song in particular made me think about an important issue. You have this guy (let's call him "Rudolph") who's a bit different. Then you have a bunch of his so-called "peers" (let's call them "reindeer") who torment him by laughing and calling him names. And their manager (let's call him "Mr. Clause") who has this reputation of being a wonderful person doesn't even do anything? I mean, what's up with that? What sort of example is he setting? To make matters worse, one foggy Christmas Eve, Mr. Clause decides to take advantage of Rudolph's gift. He actually has the nerve to ask Rudolph if he minds being in most dangerous spot in the reindeer formation. No raise, no extra benefits, nothing. Of course, with Rudolph's lowered self-esteem, there's no way he's going to refuse in front of all of the other reindeer. If he thought things were bad before, imagine if he said "no"! He'd never live things down. The other reindeer are clearly just a flock of sheep. As soon as Mr. Clause takes any notice to Rudolph (and with a nose that bright, how could he of missed him before?) everyone is all of the sudden on his side? As if that will last. It makes me sick, and I think that this song should be permanently removed from the ears of our impressionable children.
