Smelling the Roses
There was a really nice sunset tonight. I was listening to The Afternoon Show on CBC Radio One and Katheryn Gretsinger announced that there was an amazing sunset to the West. This made me think back to about ten minutes earlier, when I was speaking to my hair-dresser on the phone.She remarked, "Wow, what a beautiful sky!" I looked out my South-facing window, thought, "It doesn't look all that special to me," and politely agreed. The combination of the radio announcement, and the conversation with my hair-dresser made me decide to actually go all the way over to the window and look West.
It was worth it. I called Mike and Jamie over to take a look. They agreed it was something spectacular. Mike and I went outside with my camera, and I took a couple shots. Unfortunately, they do not quite capture the brilliant colour and intense light. See for yourself. (Click to enlarge.)
